An urgent request for prayer

I don’t often get personal. It’s not about me, and I don’t want it to become that way. However flawed, I’ve always been of the mindset to keep to myself and rarely have prayer requests to offer for myself.

After reaching out to family and church, it seemed necessary to ask here. Because more prayer, the better.

I write this from the hospital on my phone. My wife is experiencing severe pain, and she’s pregnant with our second. The baby is fine, thankfully. It appears as though this was a kidney stone attack.

Pregnancy has never been easy for my wife or myself for that matter. Two years ago, we were in the same situation, except gallstones. This time around the entire pregnancy has been one long, strenuous affair, with zero intermission. And I mean zero. This latest incident has been the climax of a thus far miserable pregnancy. And we still have a lot of time left before the due date.

So I would ask that you please keep my wife and my family in your prayers. That we would be healthy and safe. That the difficulty of this pregnancy would be behind us.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Ray

  1. Yes, I will pray and I think it is good that you are asking for prayer. We are the body of Christ. May your wife be healed and feel the prayers of the saints.

  2. Prayed and praying! So glad you shared.

  3. Prayers for this pregnancy, you and your wife and your family and this new little one! May all be blessed, and surrounded by the steadfast, loving arms of God our Father, held within the comfort of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, in the Powerful, Matchless Name above every other name that can be named, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Hallelujah!

  4. Praying the Lord would see your precious wife through to the delivery date of the baby that He has created inside her. Praying that some, if not all, of the pain she’s experienced thus far would lessen if not vanish altogether, Lord willing. Lifting your family up today.

  5. Lord God, Bless this couple going through such a difficult time. I pray for Your Holy Touch of Healing and Renued Life. You are the Great Physician and we ask You for a miracle, transforming this into a Victory, Heavenly Father. Encampeth Your Angels and protect this family from evil. It’s in Jesus’ Mighty Name I Pray AMEN and AMEN! For it Is Done.

  6. Please don’t hold back ‘personal’ prayer requests. You can post them as “unmentioned” or as a “personal request.” You’ll get prayer and not have to divulge specific information.
God bless you for asking. I’ve read your follow-up comment and felt this was the easiest way to reply.
