Theologically Sound. Culturally Relevant.

September 2021 EDW Report

Every month, the readers are updated on the progress of Evangelical Dark Web and some insight on upcoming announcements. September was a long and busy month. It seems like over a month ago, my family welcomed it’s newest member.

Meanwhile, it was a month full of fast news cycles with multiple fronts firing at once. The overarching theme of the month was the Branch Covidian Cult. Whether it was Rick Warren, Francis Collins, or The Gospel Coalition, the Branch Covidian Cult is an insurgent issue threatening the church.

The Evangelical Dark Web launched the Hub page to provide discerning Christians with resources whether it be to find a church, love, or outlets for Christian activism. the page is a work in progress but it has resources ready for sharing.

Another pressing theme of the month was Revoice which hosts its conference this upcoming weekend.

Quick Stats

Discernment

In September, much of the Discernment was focused on exposing some of the faces behind the Revoice Movement. I published five different articles on covering their various personalities and issues.

Additionally, we had an opportunity to expose William Lane Craig and his old school theological liberalism. We were a little late on this story, by my standards, so I decided to make it a more long lasting article since his words exposed him. This also fulfilled a reader request.

Nothing further is planned on this front.

Videos

The videos will keep coming. I am planning a virtual townhall to discuss vaccine mandates in the workplace and elsewhere. Evangelical Dark Web subscribers who are Peacemakers are invited to be a panelist in the stream, per their reward. All others will be welcome to participate via chat or sharing your story ahead of time. The goal is to be edifying to the saints.

“Patreon” System

Evangelical Dark Web finally unveiled it’s tier subscription service. A lot of competitors have this (a term of endearment in this case) and for good reason. The purpose of this is not to make the founder of this site rich. This is a labor of love and will remain that way. Rather the purpose of this is to build a war chest. I have great admiration for what people like Jon Harris of Conversations That Matter are doing in supporting a new decentralized infrastructure for the church to navigate the fallen institutions all around us and crafting professional documentaries telling important stories. Consider joining. This will allow access to all the Evangelical Dark Web has to offer.

No Retreat,

Ray
