With all of the talk about Christian Nationalism and books being written about the subject, preaching heavyweight Voddie Baucham has come out in defense of Christian Nationalism and those the label is being applied to. Voddie Baucham was instrumental in fighting back against the rise of Critical Race Theory in the church, and wisely connects the two issues.
In the later part of a recent appearance on Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey, the two of them briefly dive into the issue. Voddie Baucham points out the “coincidence” of Christians finally getting their act together and effectively fighting Critical Race Theory when this label arose as a boogeyman.Â
Baucham then breaks down the two words Christian and nationalism to see which word was objectionable to people in the church. Baucham states that the alternative to a Christian nationalism is either a secular or a pagan nationalism. Then he goes on to say that the alternative to nationalism is globalism, to which Stuckey says would be ruled by China.
Voddie and Allie discuss that Christians are the only group called to check their faith at the door of the public square. Voddie Baucham points out how many wanted to fight cultural issues without using the Bible yet the Democrats have no qualms about twisting the Bible to support evil.
While the discussion was short, Evangelical Dark Web believes it to be a prudent reminder about the Sword of the Spirit and the Shield of Faith, the two most powerful weapons for a Christian. Voddie and Allie conclude that we cannot be afraid of the label, “Christian Nationalist.”
