Dallas Jenkins has published a video on The Chosen’s YouTube channel responding to the controversy that arose from The Chosen having a pride flag on set and then subsequently glamorizing it in a behind the scenes video. Predictably, Dallas Jenkins is indignant about the controversy and the issue at play. And as telegraphed in the Christian Post’s coverage, The Chosen wants to frame the issue as “who they hire” rather than a what they believe.
Dallas Jenkins makes several claims in his response including some bold lies which we will break down tomorrow. His main point is that The Chosen is a business, and this is a disagreement over how he runs his business. Dallas Jenkins believes in secular neutrality in business, compartmentalizing it from his faith. So while he hires sodomites and atheists, he also allows them to promote their views antithetical to the work on set.
Additionally, Dallas Jenkins went on to say while pride flags have been on set for over a year, there is no corporate prayer on the set of The Chosen. This is quite telling about the culture.
Similar to the Christian Nationalism debate, Dallas Jenkins does not believe a production can be Christian. However, the cognitive dissonance is that he believe the series the production produced is Christian. So a TV show can be Christian but a production/ production company cannot.
Dallas Jenkins maintains that he is not running a church or a ministry. Yet he actively sell devotional material. Additionally, he claims that he is a for-profit public company, which is also a lie as public company means publicly traded. More on this tomorrow.
Dallas Jenkins, practicing secular neutrality evidently does not have non-disparagement clauses imposed on the cast of The Chosen who have committed blasphemy on social media by invoking Christ to support sodomy in response to the controvery they got themselves into.
In the end it seems you can be anything and work on The Chosen… except Christian.

The old “agree to disagree gospel.” If this guy gets fired by the chosen he’s welcome to come help me with my YouTube channel. It’s obvious that I need help. 🤣 Great reporting. Yes! This issue is newsworthy.
