Often times families are reticent about false teachers. You never really heard Charles Stanley confront Andy Stanley’s false teaching. You haven’t heard the Robertsons of Duck Dynasty steer Sadie Robertson Huff back in the right direction. Christian families rarely touch the theological black sheep, but Kevin Young took to Twitter, per his usual, to relay to his audience how his own grandmother denounced his teachings to his face at a family event.
Kevin Young is a hardcore theological liberal who denies basic theological tenets about Scripture. Currently, he runs an online church, and he tries to frame this issue as a medium of ministry rather than substance.
As there are two sides to every story, we can’t help but note that even if the grandmother’s reasoning was off, her conclusion is accurate. And it took a lot of guts to say that.

I believe Andy Stanley, in saying his father’s last word to him was that “he (Charles) was proud of him”–lied. One might hope some things are said in private to these apostate relatives. But then grandma took her last shot possibly. Some of the rest of us save our pearls for when we are not among the canned ham.
Grandma is 93 years old! What does she have to loose by speaking the truth? Not a thing. He hasn’t talked to her in 3 years!!!!!! So also shame on him for that. We all know you need to call your grandma. She knows you’re busy and if she calls you’re going to ignore her call because you’re busy then make up excuses why you didn’t return her call. Only a fool would not call his grandmother when she’s you’re “spiritual giant” even! Don’t log into this guy’s church or whatever you do at online churches. He’s a so-called pastor and he can’t even call his own grandmother. Sorry no excuses.
He is calling her out like she’s the fool. LOL
I think this makes him a post-evangelical and a dude who lifts weights at the gym “avidly” but also tells you his pronouns. Idk, I could be wrong 🙂
