How Logan Paul’s Public Humiliation Raises Standards For Marriage

It is widely acknowledged how bad the dating pool is for young people these days, and too few Christian publications address the issue with the grit required, preferring instead to justify perpetual singleness as a gift for people neither called nor suited for it. Combine this with the YouTube celebrity boxing matches popularized by the Paul brothers who turned social media beefs into pay-per-view cash cows. Earlier this month, Jake Paul bested longtime Nate Diaz who never pressed the initiative when he had it in their dance. Coming up in October, Logan Paul will be fighting MMA fighter Dillon Danis. But the drama leading up to the fight has gotten personal, raising questions about what is desirable in a wife.

Logan Paul is engaged to Nina Agdal, a Danish swimsuit model, whose reputation for being passed around precedes her. A list her high profile relationships includes but is hardly limited to Joe Jonas, Adam Levine, Max George, and Leonardo DiCaprio (before she turned 25 of course). More disturbing is the casual nature Agdal brags about fornication.

There’s a certain class of woman out there that uses beauty to ensnare men and climb the social latter. Nina Agdal is certainly one of them, along with the women that go after basketball players to be impregnated. Only a fool would marry such worthless women. Rather, men should instead pursue a Proverbs 31 woman.

This public humiliation at the expense of Paul and Agdal is a rallying point for men to start demanding chastity in partners. It is foolish to think that a women with a body count of 30 will suddenly stop after 31. Moreover, it is naïve to think that this time it’ll be different. Apart from the lifechanging power of the Holy Spirit, high body counts should be disqualifying for men pursuing wives. Yet even when a woman does come to Christ after “finding herself” in her 20’s, the Christian man is under no obligation to reconsider his standards.

The Manosphere has diagnosed but failed to prescribe solutions, instead teaching men to take advantage of the current system. However, men of God must take lead to raising the standard here. It is good and encouraging that men are shaming Logan Paul for marrying a slut. There is an ideal standard from which we’ve long strayed, so public shaming of degeneracy and public proclaiming of the gospel are the solutions.

Women are the glory of man and that is how husbands are to view their wives. Creating a culture that values chastity is perhaps more achievable after seeing the natural consequences of high body counts. The return of slutshaming and shaming the men who enable them is a vast improvement from the indifference and celebration of it.
