Yesterday, Evangelical Dark Web reported on the preconference at the G3 Conference in which Owen Strachan publicly slandered Stephen Wolfe. On Thursday, Strachan would prove yet again to be a distraction for the conference when he decides to go after a straw man in the middle of his sermon, but it comes across as yet another woke scolding of white Evangelicals for their villainy.
What is Owen Strachan talking about? And what is the contexts. Sources tell Evangelical Dark Web that this was a digression in an otherwise innocuous sermon.
However, it must be emphasized that G3 volunteered this clip, compiling it as a highlight of Strachan’s sermon. It backfired from a publicity standpoint, but they had to have known that a video resembling a 2020 woke preacher clip would have been scorned by Christians, regardless of their affinity for G3. G3 has not published the full sermon nor the preconference (despite having their logo livestreamed for 9 hours straight during that time)
Owen Strachan pretends that the white Evangelicals, or at least a substantial amount, disregard nonwhite churches, claiming that God’s love for the global church is under attack by these forces. The issue is that Owen Strachan is acting tough against a nonexistent foe. Moreover, the white church in America is perhaps the most denigrated group from a cultural standpoint, even within the church.
G3 Ministries thought they had a money shot with this quote but Owen Strachan became an embarrassment for them, by having a woke preacher moment at their event. It’s worth noting that Owen Strachan used to be extremely woke prior to 2018, so this would be a revert.
