Back in August, Evangelical Dark web reported that Pastor Dusty Deevers announced his candidacy for state senate in Oklahoma. Deevers is a prominent pastor in the Southern Baptist Convention, specifically among conservatives who want to save it. He is also a proponent of Christian Nationalism.
The Deevers campaign focuses on ending legal abortion in the state of Oklahoma. Moreover, Dusty Deevers is running an overtly Christian campaign as is evident on his campaign website.
From the moment of conception/fertilization, all human beings are created equal by God in His image. If we believe children in the womb are just as human as we are, then we need laws that reflect that. Our pro-life laws in Oklahoma are riddled with loopholes that allow abortion pills to flow freely throughout the state. I am committed to loving my preborn neighbors as myself by closing those loopholes and abolishing abortion by establishing equal protection under law for everybody from the moment of conception/fertilization.
The results are in for his Republican primary, and he won!
Deevers finished in first place with 37% of the vote. Second place was Jean Hausheer, a doctor who was removed by Governor Stitt from the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) board in September 2021, in a move that seems covid related.
The spirit of 1776 is alive and well in Southwest Oklahoma!

The voters of Comanche County have spoken emphatically that it’s time to bring morality and accountability back to government. They have sent a loud message to the swamp that lies and dirty politics have no place in… pic.twitter.com/2CaMsIEtfx
Deevers will prove to be a gamechanger in the OK Senate as he vows to push the Republicans there to abolish abortion and perhaps reset the tone nationally for the pro-life movement.
