It’s only February, but Brian Tome’s Crossroads Church is an early frontrunner for Worst Church, in our year end awards. This is after a series of videos showcasing their performative Super Bowl service that highlights the worst aspects of megachurches. Last year, discernment ministries and online onlookers called out churches like Life Dot Church and Saddleback for doing entire services dedicated to movies. Crossroads Church in Ohio does a Super Bowl Sunday every year and this year went viral for all the wrong reasons.

This is wild. Pastors at Crossorads Church make their entrance into the auditorium to have a "preaching contest" for their Super Bowl-themed church service. For more of this church. https://t.co/l4z64pKOjU pic.twitter.com/X8H8cK0eIq

Super Bowl-themed church service has 'halftime show' mid-sermon, featuring music by Usher, ACDC, Toby Keith, and a pastor recreating Miley Cyrus' viral 'Wrecking Ball' moment. See more at https://t.co/0GE7y6DpxF pic.twitter.com/t7H8iBzwUa

The most famous viral clip was a pastrix place kicking a Bible for a touchback in an opening kickoff. Additionally, a Miley Cyrus reenactment took place.
Brian Tome is renowned for his love of football, so this is unsurprising. In 2021 we exposed his compromise on sexuality whereby he affirms allowing sexual degenerates in children’s ministries. Crossroads Church is going to be tough to topple for this year’s worst church.

I didn’t watch the Superbowl unti overtime and that was only because I found out how. I’ve seen a lot in my 55 years of life, but never this. Do you happen to know if there were any salvations coming from this church service?
