The South Carolina primary results were a disaster for Nikki Haley whose consolidated support in her home state still led to a massive defeat. So naturally the reaction from Woke Evangelicals was to chide Evangelicals for not supporting Nikki Haley.
CNN exit polls in South Carolina primary:

White evangelical Christians:
75% Trump
24% Haley
Everyone else:
51% Haley
49% Trump
The coping and seething is on.
It is disgusting that white evangelicals support this man. Save the "lesser of two evils" trope. For some reason, you like the serial adulterer, wannabe dictator. https://t.co/BvstkcPtXW

I’m a white evangelical Christian and I’m embarrassed by white evangelical Christians who have made Trump their Golden Calf. https://t.co/hPT6j7BVqw

Don't let them lie to you anymore. They simply want Trump. https://t.co/hlGmHqcJpd

This is especially disappointing in a Matthew 24:24 kind of way. https://t.co/k6sNVS2qtl

Nikki Haley does not align with Evangelicals on any meaningful issue. Even though she supports Israel, as most Evangelicals do, she does so with a vehement hatred for America in the process. Rather than evaluate why Nikki Haley fails to appeal to this demographic, Evangelicals are falsely maligned as idolizing Trump. It’s a case study of not wanting to recognize a bad candidate’s faults and makes voting for Trump more desirable.
