Joshua Butler Launches Comeback Book After Getting Canceled By The Gospel Coalition

Last year, Joshua Butler came out with a book that wound up getting him canceled from The Gospel Coalition’s Tim Keller Center. Far from the most egregious thing The Gospel Coalition had ever published, Butler’s sex-positive article used a lot of consummation language to describe Christ and the church in the present age, and so he essentially became the internet meme of sending someone to “Horny jail.” Not only would Bulter get canceled from The Gospel Coalition over an article that published the first pages of his book that they were publishing, but he would also be canceled from his own church.

But Joshua Butler is not a sympathetic figure as he remains involved with Side B Theology through Preston Sprinkle’s Center For Faith Gender and Sexuality. So a sex-positive book from him is inherently suspect due to his compromise on these issues.

So how does Butler come back after upsetting the Big Eva gynocracy? He wrote a new book called The Party Crasher: How Jesus Disrupts Politics as Usual and Redeems Our Partisan Divide

To say that this book is banal is quite an understatement as Butler is repeating the most common Big Eva platitude that surfaces every election cycle, which ultimately serves as a justification for voting for Democrats.

Yet banality is the path Butler must take to regain his lost credibility with the Big Eva feminists who canceled him over a premature sexchatology.
