Doug Wilson has no shortage of controversies, and his latest book might be his most controversial in terms of potentially alienating Christians who would otherwise align with him theologically. His book American Milk and Honey has attempted to balance the sociological criticisms of Jews within a framework for God’s continued plan for them. Doug Wilson attempts to thread a needle between not being a dispensationalist and not being blind.
This debate peaked when Doug Wilson and Andrew Isker debated the issue last November. The most memorable moment from this debate proved to be when Andrew Isker asked Doug Wilson, “But what if it’s not envy?” in response to Doug Wilson crediting antisemitism with envy.
On this, Doug Wilson appears to be digging in his heels, as he released a trailer for American Milk and Honey which accuses just about everyone who is antisemitic of being envious of the Jews and argues that in order to convert Jews, we must live out the Deutoronomic promises to make them jealous.
Now would Doug Wilson say that Islamophobia is caused by envying Muslims? Unlikely.
You know—if you insist that I connect the dots for you—some Chad inviting some unsavory Jew to go effin’ on the blimblam . . . 6/7

In a thread continuing to accuse Christians of envy, Wilson made a bizarre comment that became an internet meme poking fun at the confusion. What’s a blimblam? Doug Wilson has yet to explain.
The problem with using liberal terms like antisemitism as Doug Wilson does is that the term is defined and enforced by people without a biblical worldview. Evangelizing Jews is antisemitic, yet is not an act of hatred. When Jesus taught to love your enemies, this was not an invitation to give them preferential treatment especially if it conflicts with the order of love which Wilson alluded to.
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:43-45 NASB1995
Doug Wilson blames Christians for not creating envy in the Jews, but instead that they envy the Jews, not through Zionism but antisemitism. Yet what are Christians envious of? This remains unclear as “blimblam.”
