As the debate over Christian Nationalism continues, Michael O’Fallon remains one of its most persistent opponents among those who rejected Critical Race Theory. Earlier this week, Michael O’Fallon accused Christian Nationalists of partnering with Woke Evangelical leaders creating an atmosphere of irony that Doug Wilson could not resist roasting him for.
For starters, it is unclear who O’Fallon is talking about. Which woke leaders are suddenly partnering with Christian Nationalists? He does not specify. But the opposite is true. At Michael O’Fallon’s conference, Andy Woodard pleaded for Mark Dever to join the fight against Christian Nationalism. Dever has been peddling Critical Race Theory for nearly a decade. Moreover, Owen Strachan is also one of the leading voices in Mid Eva against Christian Nationalism, but until about 2019, he was extremely woke.
Doug Wilson pokes fun at Michael O’Fallon’s business partnership with James Lindsay, as O’Fallon founded the atheist’s business, New Discourses, where Lindsay monetized his anti-Christian views.
Moreover, despite being a prominent figure opposed to Critical Race Theory, James Lindsay supports Queer Theory, believes that gender is not a binary and that sex and gender are not interchangeable terms. Consider Lindsay’s writing on the subject.
Nevertheless, it seems exceedingly clear that some relationship exists between sex and gender, though it is not entirely clear what that relationship is. Accordingly, a number of different perspectives exist to try to explain this relationship. These are taken more or less seriously. For example, the arch-nemesis view to that of gender Theory would be sex essentialism (see also, biological essentialism), which would more or less posit that gender is a direct consequence of biology and thus there is no meaningful difference between sex and gender at all (and, in more extreme interpretations, any such disagreement is best attributed to mental illness). This view is also unlikely to be correct and is accordingly becoming quite uncommon and viewed increasingly as antiquated and even sexist or misogynistic (not wholly unfairly).
Lindsay’s own worldview has no meaningful opposition to transgenderism, yet he is routinely brought into the church as an expert in fighting wokeness because he posted screenshots of Marxists wrote in their books.
Doug Wilson ratioed O’Fallon into oblivion causing both Lindsay and O’Fallon to respond.
As a “coastal elite”, and as someone enjoys the privileges that come with it, I will first focus on my dinner party before dealing with Douglas' attempt at humor. 🙂 pic.twitter.com/rhyPIcvOdj

This was a weird flex.
@ConceptualJames , it was actually a tu quoque . . . but also a joke.

James Lindsay demonstrates he doesn’t know what an ad hominem fallacy is and was promptly ratioed.
O’Fallon did not get away with this gaslight; it was hilarious that Doug Wilson led the response.
