The Guttmacher Institute is the leading pro-abortion research firm and their latest report found that 63% of all abortions are now self-performed, a significant leap from 53% just three years prior. Self-performed abortions using pharmaceuticals murdered 642,700 babies in 2023.
But the story gets even worse:
The medication abortion counts for 2023 do not include self-managed medication abortions that take place outside of the formal health care system or abortion medication mailed to people in states with total abortion bans. While there are no comprehensive data on the number of self-managed medication abortions in the United States, evidence suggests they have been increasing in the past several years. Therefore, the total count of medication abortions nationally is higher than our count of those offered within the formal health care system.
This means there are a lot more uncounted abortions out there than we have ways of measuring.
The pro-life movement has refused to grasp the cold-hearted nature of murdering your own child and continually insists that women are the “second victims” of abortion, placing moral accountability on the doctors. This view is out of touch with the current reality. As a result of this glaring inconsistency, the Abolitionist Movement is gaining massive momentum.
