It’s not a secret nor a surprise that Baylor University represents some of the worst aspects of a Christian college, one that grew in size and liberalism. It might be surprising that they have a class on Harry Potter, a middle-grade to young-adult fantasy series.
Gregg Garrett is the professor of this course and he went viral for using it as an opportunity to virtue signal his support for transgenderism.
Today in my Harry Potter class @Baylor, we had a hard and necessary conversation about JK Rowling and her hatred of trans- people. We decided novelist Rowling, who wrote with compassion about diversity, equity, and inclusion, is worth our attention. Twitter Rowling? Shame on her.

Megan Basham responded to Garrett’s post by highlighting Baylor’s employee conduct that prohibits public activism with groups and causes that undermine biblical teaching on sexuality.
You are in violation of your school’s statement on human sexuality. Please explain yourself. pic.twitter.com/iPKKrjEp88

The ball appears to be in Baylor’s court as to how they will respond.
