Donald Trump has not been running a right-wing campaign as compared to his 2016 campaign. Among the issues highlighting this fact are abortion and transgenderism. Yesterday, Donald Trump released a video statement attempting to reach a unifying consensus on the most divisive issue in politics: abortion.
Trump congratulated Alabama for protecting IVF, a practice handcuffed to abortion that Christians rightly oppose. In the process, he claims that Christians support the positions he is taking such as supporting IVF and general exceptions.
Ardent Trump supporters claim that he is taking abortion off the table in 2024. Prominent Christian leaders have spoken out that this is a compromise.
Trump just took the issue of abortion off the table.

Anyone throwing a fit about that statement doesn’t understand how politics work and cares more about virtue signaling than actually being pro-life.
Simply put, this is cowardice on the part of @realDonaldTrump. The thing is: he has this position because Christians have allowed him to hold it with zero consequences.
