Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission Sees Themselves As Missionaries, Gets Ratio’d For It

With the Annual Southern Baptist Convention coming up next week, the various programs in the Southern Baptist Conventio are polishing their messaging and reports. The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission posted a video claiming that they see themselves as “missionaries sent by Southern Baptists to a confusing and chaotic public square in order to bring the hope of the gospel.” The internet punished them for it.

The tweet was heavily ratio’d and mocked. Leading the comment section, Evangelical Dark Web highlighted how the ERLC has lobbied for gun control, amnesty, and opposed abortion abolition. We could have gone on to mention that they supported funding Ukraine and Israel, but the rule of three applies.

Big Eva may see the ERLC as a force for good, but outside of that, the illusion is gone.
