There are 6 candidates for president of the Southern Baptist Convention. But only one stands out as being the right man for such a time as this: Jared Moore.
Jared Moore is one of the leading pastoral voices opposing Side B Theology, a heresy that affirms homosexual desires and identity as not sinful. He has debated the issue, written a book on the issue, and exposed creatures like Preston Sprinkle who peddle this heresy.
Additionally, he supports male headship in the church and supports the Mike Law Amendment unapologetically. Moore’s affirmation of this amendment to reaffirm a Southern Baptist distinctive stands apart from the field.
On the issue of MeToo, Jared Moore would set a tone that the SBC will not bend over for feminists and their lawyers. As sentiment is growing that the SBC was bamboozled by activists, Jared Moore can right this ship more competently.
Additionally, Jared Moore supports transparency in the North American Mission Board. He believes that transparency will restore trust in these institutions.
Moreover, if elected he has vowed to oppose Brent Leatherwood of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, willing to undercut his public policy statements if and when they counter the interests of Southern Baptists which they regularly do.
Jared Moore is the right man for the job, and Southern Baptists should elect him to be their president.
