The Right Response Ministries conference titled Christ Is King: How To Defeat Trashworld kicked off with a level of basedness never before seen in one room. Give or take a thousand Christians from all over the country showed up, including myself who flew to Texas to be at the event.
Joel Webbon gave a humorous and self depricating welcome to the conference after attendees spent hours networking with one another. Webbon’s mere announcements turned into a blackout moment with anecdotes and sidetracks.
Andrew Isker was the first and only session on the first day, which began in the evening. Andrew Isker is the author of The Boniface Option, the book that gave inspiration to the conference’s themes and graphics. Isker explained the problems with Trashword, highlighting how transgenderism is the epitome of it. He discussed how Trashworld turns people who would otherwise plan for the future into people who live for the present. An interesting insight was when he talked about deracination and bastards and eunuchs were considered unclean, due to their lack of connection to the past and to posterity. He highlighted that Kamala Harris was the pinnacle of Trashworld and talked about the ripe mission field of people who smell what’s wrong with Trashworld.
Aside from that, this conference came with a different vibe of imperfect people, yet courageous people nonetheless.
