Calvin Robinson 2.0

Calvin Robinson Cancelled by ACNA

This past week, ACNA Archbishop Steve Wood expressed his concern over the ACNA granting temporary ministry license to Calvin Robinson. Evidently, the concerns and pressure campaign of the liberals within the ACNA convinced Bishop Ray Sutton of the Reformed Episcopal Church, a subdivision within the communion, to revoke the licensure of Robinson within ten days of granting it.

Via Facebook, Robinson posted the following image as a story:

Realistically, nothing changed in the ten days that Robinson held licensure under Sutton’s diocese. Nor was this the result of any prayer, but rather political and reputational calculation. In other words, it was politics, not theology, which led to this decision. Sutton caved to the pressure of his peers, like Steve Wood, who was certainly not alone in his pressure campaign.

What’s Next for Calvin Robinson?

Robinson has recently deleted his Twitter/X account and scrubbed the history, while the screenshot of the email contains an ominous message, one that conveys a lack of direction in his life. Having been rejected by both the ACC and the ACNA, it is unlikely he would find a home within American Anglicanism.

Robinson has been criticized for his political statements in coordination with his ministry. Such has built up a reputation with the common man, but places him inherently at odds with institutions that are content to allow problems like immigration to overrun their societies. Robinson says, “God is sending me a message,” which might be correct. Perhaps that message might be that it is time to return to the UK to resume the fight over there, where many of the Right-Wing Europeans are increasingly hostile to America, Trump, and the Right-Wing movement here.

The biggest difference between the American Right Wing and the European Right Wing is the presence of Christianity. The Euros are anti-God. They are libertines. In Germany, they selected a lesbian as the leader of AfD. In France, Marine Le Pen has lost repeatedly. Even in the UK, Nigel Farage is allowing Starmer to be more anti-immigration than himself. Regardless of one’s personal feelings about Trump, he credits God with saving his life while having Christians in his cabinet, like Pete Hegseth and Scott Turner. Christianity is at the center of the American Right Wing, and that has granted it success compared to Europe.

Calvin Robinson came to America and has been a net positive, but America ultimately does not need Calvin Robinson. Maybe this is God’s message for him to return to fight for Britain.

  1. Both Sutton and Robinson have a view of the church as a clerical institution, which makes what you are calling “political and reputational calculation” of the essence of the church. So the live and die by it.

  2. He’s too Roman Catholic too. He says he wants the Anglican church to go back under the Pope, but with a position that the papacy is a human institition for “good order” rather than as a divine institution.

Its as Jerome said of the Ebionites “Trying to be both Jews and Christians they became neither.” So also Calvin Robinson, trying to be both Anglican and Roman Catholic has become neither.
