Last week, the Global Anglicans asserted their primacy in the Anglican tradition. This is a major development in the largest Protestant tradition on earth. Nevertheless, Redeemed Zoomer, a YouTuber with 626K subs. His big pet project is called “Reconquista,” and it involves recapturing liberal mainline institutions and making them a little less liberal.
As previously reported, Redeemed Zoomer’s own reconquista of the gay affirming Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) failed as the denomination requires pastoral candidates to be inquisitioned to ensure their support of homosexuality. Thus, Reconquista is defeated in the denomination it started in. Worse yet, Redeemed Zoomer’s movement threatens to lead men astray, to be influenced by bad company and theology.
In contrast, the Global Anglican Futures Conference (GAFCON) has asserted its claim to “first among equals” in the Anglican Communion. This means that they disregard the female archbishop’s legitimacy as head of the church. This stand to refuse to submit to a female leader’s authority is not a schism but rather the creation of an overt parallel governing body to rule, while the Church of England has lost its legitimacy because of its liberalism.
Redeemed Zoomer has attacked this move claiming that numbers don’t mean anything compared to historic institutions. He then erroneously claims that the Episcopal Church is relevant today in Protestantism.
Christians are not naturally subversive, like the Jews are. Christians are builders. And we could sooner build a faithful institution than salvage a corrupt one. As for a denomination, it has been exceedingly rare for a denomination to come back from liberalism.
The Global Anglicans are trying something new, but perhaps its reminiscent of when there were multiple Popes, the Avignon Papacy, and other deviations from the Roman Catholic norms. It could get ugly, but its the best chance at winning the church back to Christ.
In religion, much like politics, there are perpetual losers. The term “loser theology” comes to mind. Redeemed Zoomer, being obsessed with aesthetics, would rather lose pretty than win ugly. In contrast to the movie White Men Can’t Jump, it’s the Africans who would rather win ugly.

Its funny you can see the churchian libs going race conscious all the sudden. (Un)Redeemed (J)oomer and Austin Suggs (Gospel Simplicity on youtube) both are saying stuff like “How dare these AfRiCaNs claim to be the Anglican Communion. Anglicanism is for the Anglos!” They both would totally support (and do) flooding both the USA and Britain with African migrants, but how dare the uppity AfRiCaNs reject female “bishops” and the gay marriage RZ and AS will probably have eventually with each other.
