Elijah Schaffer of independent news site RiftTV recently announced that he is being sued for $5 million by embattled FBI Director Kash Patel’s girlfriend Alexis Wilkins. The story was first reported by far left news site The Grayzone and then later confirmed in a tweet by Schaffer himself.
Alexis Wilkins (27) is a country music star who is 18 years younger than Kash Patel (45). According to Grok, she is an American of partial Armenian descent whose grandfather was the son of Armenian immigrants who fled the Armenian Genocide. In addition to making music, she serves as a senior fellow at the American Principles Project, sits on the NRA board, and has worked as a press secretary for Representative Abraham Hamadeh. The defamation lawsuit stems from social media allegations that she is a “honeypot,” an agent of Mossad (Israeli national intelligence) that is engaging in a romantic relationship to compromise a target, in this case Kash Patel.
How this involves Elijah Schaffer is tenuous at best. On September 14, 2025, the Zionist account Hen Mazzig tweeted out a story about Mossad using female agents to compromise top officials in Iran. In response, Schaffer quote-tweeted him with a picture of Kash Patel and Alexis Wilkins, unaltered and with no caption. As far as we can determine, the tweet has been deleted, but we have the screen capture.

No direct accusation is made by the photo; rather, this falls under the category of satire or trolling.
According to The Grayzone’s reporting, the defamation lawsuit was filed in late October 2025 by the law firm of Jesse Binnall, Kash Patel’s personal lawyer and chair of his foundation. Then on November 2, 2025, Patel tweeted out a condemnation of the “baseless attacks” against Alexis, without specifically naming Elijah Schaffer. All of this is a bad look for the FBI Director, who is very clearly involved in the lawfare. And despite his righteous indignation, his tweet was given a damning Community Note: “People are largely not attacking Kash Patel’s significant other, but rather reacting to his firing of people who point out his usage of government funds to travel to her shows.”
On November 11th, the day after the lawsuit became public, Elijah Schaffer brought on The Grayzone’s Max Blumenthal to discuss the lawsuit. Schaffer says that details of the lawsuit were leaked by prominent Jewish media figures Josh Hammer and Bari Weiss, while also insisting that the $5 million being sought is not arbitrary. This number was specifically chosen due to a recent public valuation of Schaffer’s media company, RiftTV. Also in the livestream, Schaffer refused to explain the picture he posted or what his thoughts were when he posted it. Rather, he was exercising his First Amendment rights.
Based on the facts as they are currently known, this lawsuit is frivolous and baseless. As public figures, Wilkins and Patel are open to public criticism, and a public photo of the two of them together does not come close to meeting the standard of malicious intent. Any intent here must be completely inferred from the photo and would necessarily involve knowing Schaffer’s innermost thoughts. It certainly seems as though Kash Patel is trying to distract from his tumultuous stint as FBI Director. As a result of this unprecedented attack by a Trump official, Elijah Schaffer has been forced to move his family immediately due to an apparent doxing of his physical location. It remains to be seen if the case will make it to trial, but Schaffer has indicated a desire for discovery, especially regarding communications to and from Patel regarding this matter.
This is a developing story.
