In a pivotal move that underscores the ongoing battle for the soul of the Republican Party, President Donald Trump has thrown his full support behind Jace Yarbrough in the crowded Republican primary for the Texas 32nd Congressional District. This endorsement, announced on February 4, elevates Yarbrough’s America First campaign while also serving as a pungent rebuke to one of Yarbrough’s key rivals: Ryan Binkley, a pastor and businessman who ran for President in 2024.
The 32nd District, long a Democratic stronghold currently represented by Julie Johnson, was dramatically redrawn in 2025 to favor Republicans, stretching from parts of Dallas into conservative East Texas. Thus, this now safe Republican seat has many suitors.
Jace Yarbrough is running on an America First agenda on borders and domestic policy. In contrast, Ryan Blinkely is a woke megachurch preacher who imposed a mask mandate at his church and peddled the George Floyd narrative.

Ironically, Ryan Binkley is running on mass deportations, but has consistently promoted amnesty in the past, including his 2024 campaign. Despite his political misalignment with the republican Party, Binkley is formidable if for no other reason than cash.
Yarbrough’s fundraising numbers have not been stellar, but the Trump endorsement should be enough to fix that and boost him over a woke pastor, to at least get to a runoff.
