Theologically Sound. Culturally Relevant.

Ironic: God TV Accuses Sean Feucht Of Blasphemy

The Bethel musician turned anti-lockdown activist, Sean Feucht is a fascinating character to emerge the last two and a half years. Despite a dubious theological background, his orthopraxis during the lockdowns was well above those with robust theology. In becoming a political activism, Feucht has taken on Branch Covidians and Disney. On July 24, Sean Feucht affirmatively tweeted out a DeSantis quote that heavily referenced Scripture. God TV, a dispensational ministry that appears to have the same audience as The Chosen of Kenny Copeland responded to the tweet accusing Feucht of blasphemy

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'Sean Feucht BOLD @seanfeucht America's Governor coming in hot with scripture today @GovRonDeSantis "You gotta be ready for battle. So put on the full armor of God. Take a stand against the Left's schemes. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. You will face fire from flaming arrows, but the shield of faith will protect you." -Gov. Ron DeSantis 1:59 PM Jul 24, 2022 from Tampa, FL Twitter for iPhone'

On a Facebook post nearly a month later, God TV responded:

Precious friends, we don’t post this lightly. Perhaps Sean did not fully realize what he was sending out. But this is exactly the opposite of what Paul is communicating in Ephesians 6. In fact, this could be considered blasphemous. The passage is specifically saying that our battle is NOT against “the left” or “the right” or anything that could be considered “flesh and blood.” Our battle is against Satan.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against THE DEVIL’S schemes. For our struggle is NOT against FLESH AND BLOOD.” (Eph. 6:11-12)

Changing the word of God for political purposes (or for any reason!) is deeply concerning and dangerous. Sadly, many have merged politics and Jesus, when in fact, Jesus transcends politics. That is not to say that we should not be active politically. We should. But turning political devotion into devotion to Jesus leads to posts like this. Using God’s word for man’s purposes is extremely unwise and places you in a perilous position. Remember, Eve was tricked when Satan subtly changed the word of God.

God has called us to love the lost, not to demonize them. If we disagree with someone politically, that does not make them our enemy, but our mission field. How will we reach unbelievers when we are mocking them or comparing them to Satan? “We love because he first loved us.” We too were once lost, and someone loved us.

We pray that our dear brother will see the error here and correct it. We pray for his eyes to be opened, and that he will use his incredible gift to spread God’s love through Jesus our Messiah.

In essence, a ministry called God TV accused someone of blasphemy. Overlooking the self-defeating premise, they accuse Feucht of politicizing Scripture, defending Democrats against claims that they advance a demonic agenda. They hyper-spiritualize Ephesians 6 to make it seem as though the powers in this worlds are never if direct opposition to God, or direct proxies of Satan. This was not the case when Ahab and Jezebel ruled Israel.

Feucht responds with his own post after Ed Stetzer’s rag ran with the story.

Sean Feutch accuses God TV of going woke and appeasing Democrats in order to be liked. Most of the opposition to this response tweet by Feucht includes people with pronouns and/or Ukraine flags in their bio, thus proving his point.

God TV not only apparently lacks the balls to admit they’ve gone woke, but lacks the balls to confront Ron DeSantis, the inspiration for the original post. Such lack of testicular fortitude by God TV is quite blasphemous.

  1. If GodTV was not so heretically apostate they could have confronted Ron DeSantis on being a follower of antichrist/Popery but I assume they are very ecumenical and have open arms for those of the synagogue of Satan.

One could also point out DeSantis’s law restricting people from speaking against the state of Israel. https://libertyconservativenews.com/ron-desantis-law-banning-criticism-of-israel-has-huge-first-amendment-implications/

GodTV are total Zionists so they would probably be supportive of that bill.

With all DeSantis talk against vaccine mandates you would think he would work to have the Florida Statutes changed to not allow the state to use any means necessary to vaccinate people.

    https://www.flsenate.gov/laws/statutes/2009/381.00315
    Section b. says the following

If the individual poses a danger to the public health, the State Health Officer may subject the individual to quarantine. If there is no practical method to quarantine the individual, the State Health Officer may use any means necessary to vaccinate or treat the individual.

    1. I believe the 2009 law in question was repealed in the 2021 special legislative session under HB 7B/SB 8B. Otherwise, those are valid criticisms.
