Jim Ball is the founder of Evangelicals For Harris, which he created after retiring the Evangelicals For Biden which he also founded. Ball was an environmentalist activist who spent years trying to subvert Evangelical resistance to the climate change agenda via the Evangelical Environmental Network where he served as vice president. This week Evangelicals for Harris (EFH) announced a 7-figure, three-week advertising campaign aimed at evangelical and other Christian voters in key battleground states, including North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
The campaign seeks to contrast Donald Trump’s behavior and words with the values of faith, compassion, and justice that Vice President Harris embodies and encourage faith-based communities to support her leadership.
The campaign features a series of ads that draw on biblical teachings and themes, contrasting them with the conduct of political figures who have sought to manipulate religious rhetoric for their own gain.
The newest ad, “Keep Clear,” features archival audio and video footage of the late Rev. Billy Graham, delivering a message based on (2 Timothy 3:1-5), warning of the dangers of leaders who exhibit greed, arrogance, violence, deceit, and the trappings of religion. These biblical warnings are matched with video footage of Donald Trump celebrating and exemplifying these traits. The ad is a reminder of the contrast between genuine Christian values and behaviors that contradict them.
Vice President Harris stands for the values that Jesus taught: love, justice, and compassion for all people. This million-dollar campaign is only for the next three weeks which is a good indication that they are getting more cash after this campaign ends. Ball is both well-connected and well-funded. In 2020, Evangelicals For Biden was not so aggressive, mostly focused on search ads.
It’s worth mentioning that Evangelicals For Harris openly affirms Kamala Harris’s Christian faith, a laughable notion to any Christian.
