Phil Robertson

Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s Disease

Recently, the family behind the beloved Duck Dynasty series announced sad news surrounding their familial patriarch Phil Robertson. His sons Al and Jase announced that he was “not doing too well” due to a combination of a blood disease and early Alzheimer’s Disease. The blood disease was something Jase claims has been ongoing for several years while the more recent discovery was that the disease was exasperating the deterioration of Phil via Alzheimer’s Disease. Jase went on to say that Phil was unable to sit down and have a conversation due to the pain he was in. They described Phil as not being himself and being in too much pain to enjoy their recent duck hunt. The two brothers spent their recent show on BlazeTV lamenting the revelation while acknowledging that their father has hope for the resurrection to come.

Alzheimer’s Disease is an incurable, neurodegenerative disease that impacts memory, behavior, and cognitive decline. Research has shown that Alzheimer’s risk might be mitigated via the consumption of healthy fats and oils. At 78 years old, Robertson could still remain alive for several more years despite this diagnosis.

It is sad news to hear that the patriarch of the Robertson’s, being in his final days, is enduring much pain along with the burden of Alzheimer’s.
