For instance, most Christians in America are likely unaware that Voice of the Martyrs lists Israel as a hostile country to Christianity. Yet Allie Stuckey would boldly claim that Israel is the only country in the Middle East where a Christian woman could safely travel.

The problem with this claim is that it’s not remotely true. As mentioned above, Israel is hostile to Christianity, just like its neighbors. However, this opinion by Stuckey failed to take into account the vast geography of the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates has become the Las Vegas of the Middle East, a tourist destination for rich people. It is quite safe. And most Middle Eastern countries are hardly in the news and generally uneventful. In contrast, Israel has acquired a reputation for mistreating Christian pilgrims.
