Discerning Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, Charlie Kirk

Papists And Charlie Kirk: Stolen Valor

The death of Charlie Kirk has been on the nation’s mind, and it appears that many are trying to distort the legacy of Kirk or push conspiracy theories about his death that have no solid evidence to back them. Candace Owens has been the largest figure who has taken the death of Charlie Kirk to make it about herself and her pet issues. One such issue was Candace Owens claiming that Charlie Kirk was secretly swimming the Tiber River.

Um, was definitely on the brink of changing some of his perspectives. And, I can tell you factually, Charlie was praying the rosary. Charlie was going to mass. One of my last conversations with Charlie was me joking with him saying, just make the last step. Okay. You are, uh, I said specifically, you’re too smart to be a Protestant. Just take the last step, Charlie. And he says, ha ha. You’re speaking about, uh, Mary.

Candace Owens claimed that Charlie Kirk was secretly a Catholic based on possibly fake conversations. It’s worth mentioning, Owens claims to have text messages she has not revealed for other claims regarding her and Kirk.

Additionally, Erika Kirk was also dragged into more rumors of Romanism. While she grew up Catholic, she converted to Protestantism.

Additionally, the Orthobros, claimed that Charlie Kirk was on the verge of converting to Eastern Orthodoxy based on a tweet of a clip from Tucker Carlson. The broader context does not support the idea that Kirk was at risk of converting.

People will want to make Charlie Kirk in to many things that he is not. But he was an American Evangelical Christian, and no amount of fake rumors peddled by Owens or influencers is going to retcon that.

  1. A Catholic friend sent me a 27 minute speech yesterday, apparently from the new Pope and all about Charlie Kirk. As it went on (and on), with an apparently-synthesized voice, I wondered how likely it was that the new Pope would spend that much time talking about anything, let alone a Protestant layman. One commenter suggested it was AI-generated, and I eventually shut it down, fearing it might be trying to cover for installing malware.

  2. Sadly I would not trust Ms. Owen any further than Nancy Peloci could throw her. Those saying these kind of things about Charlie Kirk, or suggesting he faked his death (which would destroy all credibility for any statements he made after he appeared alive again) don’t understand the nature of the guy and why he was followed and believed. It would require everything about him was false leading up to his death to allow for the possibility of her statements and and others to be true. Since maybe 2013 the way to control the narrative on line has been to muddy the waters so much you can’t know what is true. But I think Kirk was true and if that picture of him is being manipulated it’s a lie.

  3. His wife wasn’t just raised Catholic. She was seen holding a rosary out the window of her car after his death. He was in fact going to mass with her sometimes. But the main thing Candace has been pushing is that Israel had a hand in assassinating Charlie, which they did. It shouldn’t be a shock that Charlie Kirk’s wife with a Jewish maiden name is a performative Catholic to hide her Judaism and that she was his APAIC handler, and that she forced him to go to mass as part of Judaizing him. This is what people sign up for when the Take the Ticket to become famous.

  4. “Charlie Kirk was very interested in Orthodoxy”

Probably not, but I saw an interview he did with Apostate Prophet on Apostate Prophet’s channel, and he asked AP “You’re Orthodox right?” and after he affirmed it, Charlie Kirk say “Orthodoxy is a BEAUTIFUL tradition.” Kirk was essentially a politician and didn’t have some super strong Protestant convictions other than that he rejects the Pope, and he gave good arguments to Michael Knowles against the Pope.
