So-called conservative pundit and transgender activist Blaire White decided to share his conversion story to some sort of Christianity after 1.5 to 2 years of study. This would be something to celebrate, if not for the fact that White has not converted at all. Instead, the 24 minute video reveals a completely fraudulent conception of Christianity, an invention in Blaire’s own mind. We have posted this short clip here, which is representative of his overall perspective.
It’s clear from the start that Blaire White has adopted a very postmodern view of Christianity. There are no clearly defined tenets that one can turn to, due to the fact that there are 45,000 different Christian denominations. This is a lie used mainly by Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox in order to delegitimize the Protestant faith, implying that no one can actually agree about what Protestantism even is.
The basis for Blaire’s faith journey is some sort of spiritual or charismatic experience of God. He asked God for this, and God responded, though he did not know for certain that this was pointing him to Christianity at the time. It’s not clear what the experience was or how it related to Christianity at all. During this entire talk, there was never any mention of repentance or submission to the Lord’s will, nor were basic beliefs like the Resurrection espoused.
Notably, Blaire excuses his own sins of being gay and trans, since there are other Christians that have secret sins (e.g., adultery). White also brings up politicians that sign bombs that will be used in warfare, an odd example. His overall point is that nobody’s perfect, so he doesn’t have to pursue holiness. And no one really agrees what the Bible teaches about how to live anyway.
Beyond that, the rest of the video was full of the typical tropes that are spread around by all manner of reprobates and apostates. His transgenderism is validated by God. Christianity is about relationship and feelings, not rules. It’s not a problem for him to mutilate his body, since it’s just flesh. Christians wear mixed fabrics, women wear jeans instead of dresses, the founding fathers wore wigs. This is all the typical nonsense one would expect from someone who is at peace with his rebellion.
The truth is that the gospel both saves and transforms rebel sinners, even those that rebel against their own sex. That is, if you would but repent (turn away from) your sin and put your full faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of that sin, you will be saved. However, we must approach God on His terms. We are not permitted to receive this great gift while remaining in our prior life of sin. That’s cheap grace. The apostle Paul addresses this when he says in Romans 6:1-2, “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?” Blaire must truly grapple with his sin if he is to be saved. And finally, the right must stop catering to degenerates like Blaire White. The notion that it’s helpful to have alphabet people on our team is doomed to failure and will only serve to spread more of this deadly lifestyle.
