Utah Chick-fil-A Celebrates Gay Marriage

In 2012, Chick-fil-A became a cultural flashpoint for its opposition to homosexuality and became a rallying point for free speech. Despite posting a record day of sales, Chick-fil-A would surrender to the woke mob and defund Christian organizations that stood firm on biblical sexuality.

A Chick-fil-A in Orem, Utah celebrated a homosexual marriage, with an unstated relationship to the store.

The screencap went viral, as this stood in contrast to Chick-fil-A’s reputation, however unearned. Chick-fil-A has donated money to Southern Poverty Law Center which is on the same level of an enemy to Christians as Planned Parenthood. Dan Cathy, the current president, bent over backwards to go woke in 2020.

Chick-fil-A is not like normal franchise companies. In fact, Chick-fil-A franchisees are more glorified, well compensated employees than business owner, as they do not own their store, cannot sell their franchise or pass it down, cannot scale to several locations, and must work the location they have. Therefore, the idea that this was okay to post on a company social media account does fall on Chick-fil-A’s hypocritical branding as a Christian company.

  1. Yep….they can’t pass the buck and say it was “the franchisee’s decision”…..can’t have it both ways.
But then again, there is really no such thing as a “Christian Business”. Christians can own a business but business can’t be Christian.
