Ligonier Scandal

Police Report Of Stephen Adam’s Claims Harassment Campaign By Ligonier Fellow

Last week, the bombshell testimony dropped where Steve and Heidi Nichols accused Stephen Adams, a former pastor at Saint Andrew’s Chapel, of molesting their daughter, eventually culminating in their exit from the church and excommunication for contumacy. Stephen Adams told his side of the story where he vaguely alleged that the Nichols were engaged in a harassment campaign to destroy his reputation. Apparently, he filed a police report detailing his claim.

H/T Daniel Sullivan for the report.

The police report was filed even though there was no underlying crime. The report was filed on January 29, two days after the church rendered a guilty verdict against the Nichols for contumacy.

Ultimately, the preeminent question in this case is whether Stephen Adams is actually a child molester or not. If so, then there is no sympathy for he and his guilty conscience. If not, unfortunately, he has no ramifications, legally or ecclesiastically.
