The career meltdown of Elijah Schaffer is one that will be remembered in right wing lore, particularly because it was high end. Behind the nice cars, international travel, and big houses were modest views and small dollar superchats. Behind the appeals to self-improvement via Christianity were sex, drugs, and EDM. Everything was a facade. And the facet that interested me the most was the financial backing that Schaffer had.
RiftTV was to operate as an independent conservative media platform focusing on political commentary, documentaries, and far-right perspectives. Indeed, they waded into controversies and brought on additional talent like Sarah Stock, Alicia Powe, Amy Dangerfield, Braeden Sorbo (Kevin Sorbo’s son), Keith Woods, and others, even those writing pseudonymously. Building a team like this required backing, especially since Schaffer wanted to create a landing spot for influencers chased out of Conservative Inc for not towing the Israeli line. However, Rift TV was a colossal money pit with inadequate monetization, despite backing.
Rift TV’s most popular streams benefited from Jay Dyer, one of the most famous Eastern Orthodox apologists. Elijah Schaffer cracked 100000 hosting a Catholic vs Orthodox debate. This content took place or was planned while he was still cheating on his wife. But it gave Schaffer a good impression of what content would bring in the most views. Now nothing approaches this.
After the grand reveal where he was exposed for cheating on his wife with Sarah Stock, who was cheating on her now husband, Elijah Schaffer’s divorce became public as well.
Schaffer launched a crowdfund on GiveSendGo:
In January 2026, Elijah Schaffer’s personal life was deliberately made public and weaponized against him. The fallout has created real and ongoing legal exposure and mounting costs that come with defending yourself against a coordinated effort to destroy your career and silence your voice.
This is lawfare. The goal is not justice. The goal is to make the cost of fighting back unbearable.
Funds raised here will be used to cover legal fees, attorney costs, and related expenses tied directly to this situation as it develops. This campaign addresses this specific matter.Â
Free speech is not free when it costs everything to defend it. Today, it’s him. Tomorrow it could be you. Stand with Elijah. ??
Schaffer positions himself as the first domino to fall. But his once loyal fanbase did not buy his narrative. With a surprisingly low goal of $5000, Schaffer has only cracked $1400 after months.
Schaffer was also accused of sodomizing a 16 year old while being a youth pastor at his father’s church, both by a former cameraman and his wife in court filings.
The media landscape is changing rapidly and his audience grew tired of the charades and antics and has largely moved on. Schaffer made it in Conservative Inc and even independently, making good money, but sloth and his various intemperate appetites eroded all of it.
