SBC23 Autopsy With Jared Moore and Christopher Cunningham
https://youtu.be/RDs_wrGrDPM In the aftermath of SBC23 there is a large amount of mixed reactions as Bart Barber’s easy reelection was counteracted by the passage of the Mike Law Amendment and the ousting of Saddleback Church. Joining Evangelical Dark Web were two messengers, Dr. Jared Moore and Pastor Christopher Cunningham. You might remember Moore from his […]
Can Al Mohler Save The SBC?
https://youtu.be/a_6YvqvQ-kQ This is not the article that I want to write. As someone who is not Southern Baptist, I find myself having a more vested interest in saving the Southern Baptist Convention than most Southern Baptists. In the post-game analysis of the Annual Southern Baptist Convention, I see the true Christians largely leaderless in the […]
David Hughes Takes Over FBC Fort Lauderdale
David Hughes is perhaps one of the most carnal pastors in America. Similar to Steven Furtick’s Elevation Church, it’s a wonder how they are even in the Southern Baptist Convention. With zany hijinks like constructing a replica of the Iron Throne and pretend unicorns, the performative pandering is hardly admirable to any church. Yet FBC […]
SBC23: A Mitigated Disaster
The annual Southern Baptist Convention was the 3rd convention in which conservative Baptist were mobilized against the liberal drift in the denomination. In this convention, the conservatives would see both continued setbacks and substantial gains, previously unseen in the previous conventions. In 2021, the conservatives lost the presidential race winning only a minor office of […]
SBC Passes Amendment Banning Female Pastors
The 2023 Annual Southern Baptist Convention had a massive victory for conservatives that appeared against all odds. Southern Baptist To Vote On Constitutional Ban On Women Pastors
Although it is commonly thought that the Southern Baptist Convention settled the issue of female pastors in 2000, several SBC churches have female pastors. Occasionally, this gets reviewed for disfellowshipping as in the case of Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church. The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 states, “the office of pastor is limited to men as […]
