One of the glaring weaknesses of the conservative label is that its distinctive meaning has been eroded by a long train of infiltration and imposters. For about five years, the question has been posed as to what is being conserved by conservatism with unsatisfactory answers.
Moreover, there is a broader online trend of social media being utilized to sell and groom children into pornography. This trend is becoming more personalized and attached. Whereas OnlyFans is the most talked about way a woman can monetize her sexuality on social media, it is not the only way. The same energy of ethots and only fans is widespread in Conservative Inc.
Last night we discussed so-called calendargate, the controversy surrounding Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer calendar featuring immodest pictures. Yet most did not understand why they thought the calendar was sexualized. Not all the pictures were immodest. Dana Loesch, although cringe, was not immodest in her picture. The calendar was viewed as immodest because half of the women on it had monetized their sexuality to get on the calendar in the first place.
Bryson Gray reignited the controversy last week and was a guest on Blaze TV personality Alex Stein’s show to debate the controversy with Josie the Redheaded Libertarian, one of the most predominant ethots on the right.
The result was embarrassing for her. Not knowing how online advertisements work, she accused Bryson Gray of having waifu ads on his monetized Twitter/X account. Online advertisements are based on the viewers’ cookies, but in the case of Twitter/X, the site is flooded with low-quality sexualized ads regardless of browsing history. She then turned to Mary Magdalene being a prostitute in the Bible to talk about how God promoted her. This is the intellect of the most followed libertarian woman on Twitter (according to her).
It’s clear, especially by the aforementioned calendar, that many prominent figures on the right monetized their sexuality to get there. This is a clear weakness of the conservative movement online. We are not sending our best because we have an ethot problem. Liberals do not have this issue as much because feminism is ugly.
But Chrisitan Nationalism is distinct from conservatism in this regard also. In addition to a positive vision of the past and future, how Christian Nationalism can achieve these ends is not fraught with simp culture enabling mediocre intellects to advance a message. Instead, platform is mostly merit-based. Christian Nationalism does not yet have an ethot problem, and its patriarchal attitude is a natural safeguard against such pitfall.
