As Christianity Today’s association with Evangelicals For Harris is at a minimum tangential, Russell Moore’s recent obfuscation of the stolen valor of Tim Walz makes it readily obvious that Christianity Today is mobilized for Democrats in 2024. Woke Preacher Clips caught Russell Moore in this deflection attempt from a recent bulletin podcast Russell Moore recorded.
As Woke Preacher Clips points out, the stolen valor claim has two components. The first is the embellished rank. Tim Walz spent decades claiming the title Command Sergeant Major which he received conditionally but then broke the agreement, thus reverting to his actual rank, Master Sergeant, upon retirement. Moreover, Walz implied he was deployed into combat for this time as well, calling himself “a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom,” and leaving local and national media with the impression that he served in Afghanistan/Iraq while never asking them to correct their articles.
