James Lindsay vs history

James Lindsay Practices Communist Historic Revisionism

James Lindsay is the pseudo-intellectual who is the source of the anti-Christian Nationalist talking points being peddled by media figures like Joel Berry, G3 (back in 2023), and others. Branding himself as an anti-communist, James Lindsay attacked the right while peddling a revisionist history of the atrocities of communism, when they were widely known.

Liberal have often used presenting to rewrite history. In the American context, the Civil War villainization of the South is a clear example of presentism. But regarding communism, Lindsay claims that it’s presentism to assume that people in the west knew the atrocities of communism at the time. Lindsay erroneously claims that it was not until 1956 that the horrors were widely known. This is flat-out revisionism.

Lets run through a list of 7 examples.

The massacre of the Romanovs is perhaps the most iconic political assassination since Julius Caesar and it kicked off a horrendous war where the communists won, committing many atrocities in the process.

The Soviet Union was known for purges and gulags.

Post-Great War, communist revolutions ravaged entire countries, setting the foundation for the failed Weimar Republic. Another example is Béla Kun in Hungary. These examples of communism’s failures and barbarity were widely known and discussed at the time. Both Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler opposed Bolshevism, citing these examples. They were both Western.

The Spanish Revolution is another major world event where the atrocities of communism showed themselves. The communist Republicans in Spain desecrated the bodies of nuns in their specific revolution against Catholicism. Tolkien famously sided with the Nationalists in Spain because of these reasons.

The Holodomor saw millions of people deliberately starved by the Bolsheviks. This pre WWII atrocity was widely known.

During and after WWII, the Soviet Union committed major atrocities and genocide against the German people, so that Prussia is mostly no longer a thing.

Lastly, the Korean War, which America fought, had numerous atrocities documented by the communists in Korea, particularly anti-Christian atrocities.

This is nearly 40 years of history that gives contemporaries little excuse not to know the horrors of communism. Also in 1956, the Hungarian Revolution whereby the Soviet Union suppressed a popular uprising against communism. George Orwell wrote anti-communist books, and America had the Red Scare.

James Lindsay is practicing historic revisionism to attack his betters, and it’s discrediting. It is impressive how retarded James Lindsay can be when he wants to make an original point.

  1. Nobody knew about any supposed death camps until the 1980s. Encyclopedias from the 1950s and 60s don’t mention those for WW2. So all libtard presentations on WW2 are “subtle presentism” too.

  2. I think Churchill acknowledged after the war that some mistake had been made regarding an alliance with Stalin. He said earlier that you might as well legalize sodomy as recognize the Bolshevik regime.
