The internet and social media have done wonders in exposing the inadequate leadership plaguing the church for generations. Men like Rick Warren and Russell Moore held considerable sway in Evangelicalism ten years ago, but Warren has become undone by his own ego, embracing feminism and even pro-sodomy teachings. But exposing his false doctrine was only a fraction as effective as trolling him.
Part of why Rick Warren clowned himself was over his inability to resist engaging in his debate. Similarly, other enemies of God, Joel Berry, Jordan Peterson, and James Lindsay. In a recent interview, James Lindsay revealed the devastating effectiveness online trolling has on him.
This has led to Lindsay embarrassing and alienating himself from major figures in Conservative Inc., most notably Matt Walsh, Tim Pool, and Auron MacIntyre.
In the interview, Lindsay lamented being mocked on social media, calling him getting ratio’d online “struggle sessions” in an insane misuse of the word. Ratio’ing occurs when someone says something wildly disapproved of, causing the comment section to exceed the original post’s level of support. In the first Trump administration, this was a valuable tactic to sway public opinion against liberal advances and shame degenerate behavior.
Now, it is more personality-driven as social media has increasingly become play-to-win. So while ratio’ing someone is a personal feat, getting ratio’d can inflict emotional damage, which James Lindsay hilariously admits to.

Social media has become a battlefield for spiritual warfare, and denying dopamine to the fiends is a necessary tactic. James Lindsay is a lolcow. A lolcow describes a person who is provoked into clowning himself for the enjoyment of others. The lolcow is milked for laughs, hence the name.
Turning the enemies of Christ into lolcows is one of the most devastating things we can do. James Lindsay’s influence in the church may yet be rooted out by mockery, as debate was never going to accomplish what memes could do in fewer words.

I was watching Chris Fisher’s Open Theism channel on youtube recently, and he was describing to Warren McGrew a story how James Lindsay is always referred to on twitter as “Known homosexual James Lindsay.” And Chris said he got in an argument with a friend who said “James Lindsay isn’t a homosexual; he has a wife and family” and Chris said “I’m pretty sure he is a homosexual. Everyone on twitter calls him Known homosexual James Lindsay.” I don’t remember the point he was using this story to make, but it was hilarious.
Oh yeah, and then he said “For those who don’t know, James Lindsay is an atheist who tries to tone police Christianity, like ‘I’m not a Christian but if you Christians don’t roll over and do everything I say then you’re bad Christians.’ Get out of here with that stuff dude.”
