Clint Pressley would cruise to reelection, as expected, but there was one nomination made on the floor by one friend in favor of another. Christopher Cunningham made a floor nomination of David Morrill from Protestia to become the next president of the Southern Baptist Convention.

David Morrill would amass 407 votes and lose overwhelmingly, but it was a touching moment of one brother in Christ encouraging another.
Clint Pressley has been a surprisingly competent president who has avoided the controversy of his predecessors.
