The Israel-Iran War, which the United States entered, has brought out unhinged doomsaying and insatiable bloodlust, but one storyline that’s interesting is the crashing out of a “based” watch company that markets to right-wing anons.
Enter Wasson Watches, an American watch company that sells Swiss watches made in China for nearly $1000. Now, there’s nothing wring with private label businesses. In fact, there are a lot of these that operate on the right. But Wasson Watches is definitely one of the higher-end products marketed to a right-wing audience.
Picking up in the middle of the story, Wasson Watches has been going hard in the direction of James Lindsay and attacking those on their right, particularly on the JQ. With the onset of the Israel-Iran War, Wasson Watches attacked those who were reluctant or uninterested in the United States getting involved in another Middle Eastern war. This escalated with a post:
Joel Webbon responded with an Office gif to which, Wasson Watches called him a “Nazi pastor.”
Joel Webbon responded on X but also on JD Hall’s Incite to Insight substack:
I want to be clear from the outset: Wasson Watch Company didn’t initially call me out personally. Instead, they made a sweeping statement that appeared to demonize just about anyone who criticizes Israel and thinks America shouldn’t have bombed Iran.
I responded by saying, “Bummer, such a shame” (with a humorous Dwight Schrute gif opening a coffin for someone to climb inside). In other words, I was saying, “Guys, you’re alienating a pretty massive portion of your market. There are a ton of men who love your product (they really do make fantastic watches) and fully support 95% of your message (Wasson is constantly taking bold stands on conservative cultural/political issues, which I, and many others like me, deeply appreciate), but there are a lot of conservative Christian guys out there that are convicted that the modern state of Israel is a serious problem. And yet these guys are NOT Nazis. They’re not advocating for a “final solution,” and they’re not encouraging America to go to war against Israel. They just want Israel out of our politics, and to stop negatively influencing our culture.”
Now, up to this point, I fully acknowledge that Wasson had complete plausible deniability. They could have not responded, or they could have said something like, “We’re not talking about you, Joel. If the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it.” Unfortunately, all plausible deniability went out the window when they immediately responded by publicly calling me a “Nazi pastor.”
Ah… so I was right in my suspicions. Wasson was talking about me, and much more importantly, thousands of faithful Christian men who think like I do. And thus, my disappointment.
Wasson Watches responded by stating that Joel Webbon was playing the victim here, but Joel Webbon set himself to get dunked on with a “shoe fits” response but Wasson went to the age old liberal tactic of smearing him as a Nazi. Webbon cautions that their flippant use of the term removes all meaning.
Joel Webbon was not the only target of this crashing out. Dissedent Soaps was called a “nazi soap company” and Wasson went out of their way to dox them. Another anon asked whether it was Holocaust denial to believe only 5.9 [million] died.
Underlying Theology
Wasson Watch cited Jeremiah 31:34-40 as a support for their simping for the pagan Jewish religion. Picking up from verse 31:
31 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
35 Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the sun for light by day
And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar;
The Lord of hosts is His name:
36 “If this fixed order departs
From before Me,” declares the Lord,
“Then the offspring of Israel also will cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”37 Thus says the Lord,
“If the heavens above can be measured
And the foundations of the earth searched out below,
Then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel
For all that they have done,” declares the Lord.38 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the city will be rebuilt for the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. 39 The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah. 40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the Lord; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.”
This passage is clearly about Christ’s coming and the new covenant he establishes with his disciples. It is definitely not a futurist prophecy about Modern Jews.
The latter part of the passage explicitly cited by Wasson alludes more so to the destruction of Jerusalem than any apocalyptic event.
The Next BRCC
If I were in the business of marketing products to RW anons (I am), the very last thing I’d ever do is dox a RW anon over a difference of opinion, because then how could RW anons ever trust you with their personal information again? It’d be like brand suicide.
The suicide of a Christian brand is a thing to behold, especially as a brand that marketed to anons waged a war on them for the approval of Babylon Bee and James Lindsay. Long term, this was not a good strategy by the company. Loyalty is the currency of the right, and such treachery is not easily forgotten.
The comparison that comes to mind is Black Rifle Coffee Company, which tanked its gun-toting brand by attacking Kyle Rittenhouse. BRCC was at least highly evaluated at the time, but their bubble has popped. Liberals ran BRCC, but they targeted a conservative audience for their money. Their owner was Jewish, by the way.
Wasson Watches are similarly run, but they have a high-end niche product as opposed to a fast-moving commodity. I expect this will tank their brand long term, however many Chinese watches they sell in the meantime.

I had never heard of this Wasson Watch Company until this very moment, but thank you for bringing their treasonous, antichrist, and evil behavior to everyone’s attention.

I wonder if the owner of this company (Paul Brown) has jewish ancestry. It wouldn’t surprise me. And if he doesn’t have jewish ancestry, it is likely that whomever owns equity in his company does have jewish ancestry.
