It’s been a while since Evangelical Dark Web has done a discernment update, but here goes. Earlier this week, we reported on the recent activity of John Mark Comer, who, despite leaving the pastorate, has maintained a steady influence in Evangelical Christianity. Due to our recent reporting on his denial of penal substitutionary atonement, and the other warning signs which have not been mitigated since he left the pastorate, Evangelical Dark Web has upgraded him from a Category 3 to a Category 4, a move which recognizes that he is a false teacher.
This is the first update we’ve made in a while, which is unfortunate because this research is valuable and often the only of its kind on the internet. As I am a small business owner in my day job, I have been left with much less time to due these, which were mainly done during down time at my day job before I ran my own company.
But it is my intention to do more verdicts again because this content is what I believe is necessary for the future discernment. More on that topic later.
