JD Greear Iryna Zarutska

JD Greear, Iryna Zarutska, and Black Idolatry

Of all the woke preachers, JD Greear stands out as one of the most damaging. As president of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2018-2021, JD Greear steered Southern Baptists into wokeness during its height, following the death of George Floyd. The death of Iryna Zarutska is a perfect juxtaposition to George Floyd, as it was a senseless act of violence with racial undertones that was caused in part by a system that allowed it.

Iryna Zarutska was a Ukrainian refugee who came to the United States, lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was coming home from working at a pizza joint via public transportation, only to be stabbed fatally by a Black man sitting behind her for no discernible reason. Bystanders look and it’s seems only one person attempted to render aid or care. This death sparked outrage for obvious reasons.

With George Floyd, the Evangelical elites responded swiftly, but the case of Zarutska has been met with silence by many of the same personalities who had a car on the woke bandwagon. JD Greear, the pastor of The Summit Church in the same state is a notable silent voice on the issue.

In 2020, JD Greear proclaimed that Black Lives Matter was a gospel issue, “We need to say it clearly as a gospel issue: Black Lives Matter. Of course Black lives matter.” He would then grant legitimacy to the claim that the criminal justice system is systemically unfavorable to Blacks, but in reality, the opposite is true.

Decarlos Brown Jr. was a career criminal with 14 arrests. He was released on cashless bail for his latest arrest of 911 misuse. This showcases how standards have been lowered in society. Cashless bail is one example of a criminal justice reform to combat racism.

But more broadly, jury nullification and endless second chances are evidence of the system privileging Black Americans and occasionally illegal aliens. The most famous example of Jury nullification is OJ Simpson, but in the reverse, Derek Chauvin was convicted by a prejudiced jury. Decarlos Brown Jr. is not someone the system has been oppressing, but rather someone the system has enabled.

JD Greear was all too eager to deliver smooth words of Social Justice, but reluctant to address the consequences of his actions.

  1. David French posted a particularly vile tweet comparing Iryna to George Floyd. The man has become an odious little troll.

  2. Black lives belong in Africa. They can matter there. But they don’t need to be here. Especially when they’re running around stabbing White women on trains. Its time to remove them from our society since they are not fully evolved and can’t function in a civilization since the jungle is still in them. Free plane ticket to Africa where they can claim 40 acres and a lion.
