Earlier this month, I called Apple TV’s Savant a “desperate plea for escapism in a world that is quickly abandoning the liberalism that got America to its Crisis of the 21st Century.” The show was a propaganda series about a government worker infiltrating right-wing groups to stop political violence, which was as disconnected from reality as Kirk’s death made evident.
Now, Apple TV has unceremoniously sidelined the project for the time being due to the aftermath of Kirk’s death and the tone-deafness of the content. People online speculated about whether Charlie Kirk was the bad guy in the show.
This is definitely a victory for Treble Woe who called for Apple to be pressured into cancelling the series on September 13.
