Over the last few months, prophecy has been brewing about the Rapture on September 23-24. A prediction that the Rapture, the sudden ascension of believers to heaven in a secret second coming, would occur on September 23, 2025, sparked widespread discussion and viral activity on social media platforms like TikTok, with the hashtag #RaptureTok amassing over 311,000 videos.
This prediction originated from South African pastor Joshua Mhlakela, who claimed Jesus appeared to him in a dream in 2018, instructing him that the return would happen on September 23 and 24, 2025. Mhlakela’s story resembles the Revelation of John as well as Heaven tourism fiction. The date coincides with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish Feast of Trumpets, which some Christians associate with biblical prophecies about the Second Coming.
The prophecy was popularized in the South African YouTube channel Centtwinz which has 456k subs. As time zones make part of the world September 23 and the other part of the world September 24, going off of local Jerusalem time, it appears that this year’s Feast of Trumpets was as uneventful. This is not tthe first false rapture prophecy to have been made, just the latest.
If there is a lesson to learn, it’s that Joshua Mhlakela is a false prophet and therefore false teacher. Additionally, the Centtwinz, who on multiple occasions peddled Mhlakela’s false prophecy, should also be avoided.

If I may…for me, I had to stop reading INTO the Bible. Then, I could see the simple truth regarding the type of rapture concept “popularized” by the Left Behind brand of…motivation(?) The idea of a secret event where Jesus swipes believers and leaves the world to wonder– does NOT come FROM the Holy Scriptures.
There is only ONE. One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism. Anddddddd there is ONLY. ONE. DAY OF THE LORD. On that ONE DAY– the dead in Christ will be raised First, then those who are alive and remain will be caught up in the clouds to be with the Lord Jesus– AS HE, THE KING OF KINGS, COMES IN GLORY IN CLOUDS OF HIS PEOPLE HE JUST PULLED FROM THE EARTH. And He absolutely is bringing the Sword.
Only our Enemy would want us to fathom some secret event that will have us discombulated (if God allowed it) when the enemy brings the ultimate ‘alien’ deception in his counterfeit effort to mimic/mock the coming of Christ.
WHEN JESUS COMES, IF YOU BELONG TO HIM YOU ARE COMING WITH HIM. Study the Word for anyone who is aghast. Shalom.
And FYI tho we won’t kno the hour, He never said we wouldn’t have an idea. In fact, believers are promised not* to be unaware like they who face the thief in the night.
IF I was a guessing man (which is pointless because the unknown day u die is the day u need to have been redeemed/reconciled for!)..but my tip is 2033 if interested in a prophetic rendering that could jive with the 1000 years/1 day context and the 3rd day Christ rising from the dead = returning to the Earth marking the 3rd (1000yrs) day. 2033 marks the end of the 2000 yrs since his resurrection_ascension if 33AD is the true marker. We r in season.
