Travis Hunter was a generational college football player who won the Heisman Trophy, the best all-around player award, because of his capability to play both ways, cornerback and wide receiver. In the 2025 NFL Draft, he was selected 3rd overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Sunday, he was baptized.
When asked why he got baptized, Hunter remarked that he’s been planning it.
“It’s a crazy question. Why did I get baptized? It’s Sunday, it’s God’s day, and I’ve been planning to get baptized for a minute… I want to change my life, I want to become a better man… It means a lot, you know, becoming a better man, leaving my old flesh and just becoming the new Travis.”
Travis Hunter is the latest celebrity conversion to Christianity, amidst what Evangelical Dark Web has dubbed the “Bro Revival.”
