2025 has felt a tidal wave of change in social policy as part of a larger cultural vibe shift. Though notable exceptions like the NFL persist, companies are scaling back their wokeness and DEI, but even Cancel Culture has lost its efficacy. When the media attempted to cancel Big Balls over tweets against miscegenation (amongst other edgy things), Vice President JD Vance came out in his defense and restored his employment. When Shiloh Hendrix called a deviant black child a “nigger” and had her livelihood threatened, people came out in her defense through GiveSendGo. Where the culture has shifted to the right, the GOP lags its own base, with many fronts attempting to return the party to the pre-Trump impotence. This is where the Young Republicans, the official youth apparatus of the GOP, became entrenched in scandal, one that mirrors Big Balls and Shiloh Hendrix.
Politico broke a story about how members of various YRs in a group chat were making edgy jokes and dropping epithets deemed insensitive. These would include Hitler jokes, niggas, and faggots, and calling blacks watermelon people. Now, Hitler jokes are an increasingly common means to transgress the culture, much as Rock and Roll did in its day. Overall, the jokes were rather tame and ultimately a nothingburger, but the Young Republicans came out against their own through their various chapters, with other pundits chiming.
According to an alleged affidavit by Michael Bartles, Bartles was coerced by his peers at the Young Republicans into giving the Telegram logs to a Restore YR chat. Bartles at first resisted the efforts of Gavin Wax, only to cave after he had been removed from YR access. He alleges that Wax was making salacious personal attacks against him. Then he gave the logs to Nathan Berger, a friend of Wax, who then sourced them to Politico. By his own admission, Bartles is a coward who sold out his friends after he had already suffered. Cowards like him have nothing to gain, yet he capitulated anyway. Furthermore, it is unlikely that an NDA could be enforced against him without proving damages.
The main villain is Gavin Wax, who is Jewish, utilizing liberal media to attack those in his own tent. Both Berger and Wax are officers of the New York Young Republicans Club and are both Zionists. Wax was even a TPUSA ambassador to Israel. This is common throughout the YR state chapters, though Texas is notably an exception. In Maryland, the YRs are run by a Jewish woman.
The problem is not so much what was said in the context of a group chat, but the nature of the Young Republicans, which, as an organization, is willing to cancel its own and use the liberal media to air its dirty laundry. Moreover, they are appealing to the Left’s sensibilities regarding racial slurs and calling people fags. There are other stories of YR behind the scenes politicking from other chapters across America, which ultimately renders unsurprising why TPUSA was able to functionally supplant them in relevance to those under 40. The saying, “politics is Hollywood for ugly people,” applies to organizations like Young Republicans in part because these people have no other means by which they would ever amass political influence but through infiltrating the institutions. Combined with the lack of pay, which creates a brain-drain, the political institutions, including the staffers, can become a brood of vipers. That they are willing to throw their peers under the bus for trivial social advancement is a risk within these organizations. This same dynamic occurs within Evangelical circles.
In 2016, Donald Trump won while being brash and offensive. During a debate, he bragged about the size of his penis in response to Marco Rubio’s small hands comments. He said that “immigrants were poisoning the blood” of America and insulted the Mexican judge. Most controversially, he made the infamous “locker room talk,” which involved women letting/wanting him to perform digital penetration. Even the MAGA slogan is a tacit declaration of how diversity and globalism have ruined America. Many Christians and Neocons opposed Trump in 2016, but he won. Through Trump saved the Republican party from yet another cycle of self-immolation, there is much rot within that would gladly transform the party back to one of failed, anti-white neoconservatism. Those vestiges exist within YR, Congress, and Con. Inc.
There is something to be said of loyalty as a virtue in politics. Julius Caesar said, “It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die than to find those who are willing to endure pain with loyalty.” Winston Churchill, the Post-War Consensus hero, said, “Loyalty is the highest expression of a man’s honor. It is better to be faithful than famous.” And of course, Christ said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” In politics, loyalty is the highest virtue. Charlie Kirk understood this and, because of his loyalty to Trump, he was able to grow TPUSA, where other brands were tainted by Never-Trumpism. Regardless of what one believes about the contents of the group chats, politics is a business where loyalty is a virtue.
Ultimately, the willingness to leak chats to liberal media so that one’s foes are judged according to liberal standards is rat-like behavior. That one would go to the Left to smear the Right reveals that these people believe the Right to be a greater threat than the Left. If one seeks to win, then they must have friends, some of whom one might find unsavory, but they are friends nonetheless. This is how the communists were defeated in Spain. The threat of the Left and their Great Replacement agenda is existential for America, so it is time to unite or die.
