Ben Shapiro has been one of the leading figures in Conservative Inc. for a decade. Founder of The Daily Wire, Shapiro wields considerable influence in the podcasting space, and for the most part has used this influence to show up late to policy fights that matter, such as Covid and the Russian Hoax. Moreover, he is a staunch defender of H1B visas and opposes mass deportations.
Ben Shapiro had the largest Con Inc. YouTube channel outside of Fox News, which was more of a name than an actual channel. At Shapiro’s peak, he had approximately 7,230,000 subs. (Editor’s Note: All data using Social Blade.) This is a considerable advantage for Shapiro over the dead YouTube channel of Steven Crowder, at 5.8 million.
Ben Shapiro hit his peak of 7.23 million subscribers around September 19. And then the conservative civil war went hot. Tucker Carlson interviewed Nick Fuentes, forcing a decisive confrontation. The results of that confrontation are in, and despite Ben Shapiro’s longevity atop the industry, he has measurably lost.
Since Shapiro’s peak, he has lost an estimated 40000 subs. Tucker Carlson, the recipient of Shapiro’s ire, on September 19 had 4.58 million subs and currently sits just over 5 million.
Tucker Carlson has already surpassed Ben Shapiro on podcast charts, becoming the number 3 podcaster in the industry, a success I will discuss in a forthcoming article. In sharp contrast, Shapiro had plateaued for a considerable amount of time. The 2024 election whereby normies went in a more conservative direction, saw steady growth. However, this came to a halt in 2025. Perhaps Shapiro’s lackluster immigration stance is the reason why. After all, his Zionism is baked into the cake.
Nevertheless, on YouTube many subscribers are inactive as their interests shift. This shift in interest does not result in unsubs. This is common to all older large channels. Even when Kris Kdub had his adultery scandal, that hardly cost him anything in terms of subscribers. However, people actively unsubscribed from Ben Shapiro over his recent stances. This will wreck him in the algorithms. Even worse, the controversy did not give him a boost in subs as a show of support. Meaning, either all of the Kosher Right, on YouTube, is currently subscribed to Ben Shapiro or they do not care to support him.
A precipitous decline is underway. Social Blade projects Tucker Carlson to surpass Ben Shapiro in subs in 2026. The marketplace of ideas has spoken, and Ben Shapiro is cooked in the long term.

I wonder how many of the 7m are bots. Valhalla VFT’s recent video called out Matt Walsh for continuing to work for the DW. “Ben Shapiro is DESTROYING Matt Walsh’s Career”
