It’s not a secret that Doug Wilson has soured in the minds of many Christian Nationalists who otherwise would have been content allies. One such camp is the Ogden Bros, Eric Conn, Brian Sauve, Ben Garrett, among others, coming from Refuge Church in Utah. Toby Sumpter, a cohost of CrossPolitic, wrote an explainer detailing the story, setting off a chain of events in the discourse with Doug Wilson, of Moscow, ID, writing from Cair Paravel.
Sumpter writes:
We could be silent when we see danger signs, but we refuse to go along with what seems extremely sloppy or worse. And they might have an accident. They might end up with a meltdown in their church. They might end up with a pile of members who are full-blown Kinists or Jew-haters, and then CNN will have a field day. We think that would be very unhelpful for them and for the Kingdom, even though (obviously) we don’t care what CNN thinks.
Well-Trained Warriors
All that may be as is, but the real point of this piece is to say that I don’t think the divisions are necessarily to be entirely lamented. Either Ogden will learn some lessons and scare more of their dank bros away because they are not extreme enough and make some course corrections and there may be room for more future collaboration or else they will contract ecclesial AIDS and die a sad, slow death (which I sincerely hope doesn’t happen).
Sumpter compares the willingness of Ogden to speak on third rail issues to homosexuality. Later in the article, he would invoke a Revoice comparison, despite Doug Wilson’s previous affinity for Side B Theology. But in denouncing Ogden’s associations with meme videos, the log in Moscow’s eye is their defense of the Talmud, along with some of the CrossPolitic crew taking a paid vacation to Israel and then returning to sing their praises. The concept of selling out comes to mind.
JD Hall describes the backstory as follows:
I can explain what happened. Doug wanted to jump in front of the XNat movement, declare himself the leader of it, squeeze it like a lemon for the juice, and once the movement fizzled out, he’d back into the bushes like the Homer Simpson meme, disavow it, claim he had pastoral “concerns” all along, and walk away cashing out his chips, retaining some of it it’s adherents, adding to his follower list, and milking it until it was dry. This isn’t speculation. This is what he’s done for 30 years. But those plans went awry. Two things happened.
The first is that (1) Doug broke through his own glass ceiling, and after 30 years of trying, finally made it to the national stage as a talking head )a bit late in life, but better than never). But membership in that club comes with rules, and certain things cannot be said with certain words about certain people. He has to dial it back a bit in terms of his characteristically hardcore political incorrectness, so he’s been walking on eggshells for about 3 years now.
The second (2) is that the XNats didn’t want to give him the keys. They had other leaders, who they preferred and besides, they had no interest in Doug’s sudden change of tone on certain topics. He was starting to sound much too guarded on sensitive topics and that’s not how they roll. Doug couldn’t run the XNats, so he’d be damned to be one. If he can’t lead them, he’d destroy them. And so, overnight, Reformed Evangelicalism’s biggest maverick became an Establishmentarian.
My understanding is that Doug gave Ogden a pretty straight forward ultimatum. Either get in line and submit to him on a list of issues (like joining the Joel Webbon blacklist) or he’d blacklist them, too.
Wilson thought his Antioch Statement would “mark and avoid” them well enough. That was **supposed** to take them all out. But it didn’t work, because the Establishmentarians didn’t have the clout they thought they did. Ordinarily, they could command enough clout that would’ve worked, but a lot has changed in a few years.
Because of that, Doug has gotten angrier and angrier every day, growing increasingly hostile.
As Wilson’s spotlight has grown, so has his hostility for Christian Nationalists, not because they are unruly but rather they are edgy as he used to be edgy. Meanwhile, Odgen and Georgetown (Webbon) have grown their influence rapidly. And in the world of Mid Eva, emerging competition is not welcomed. But the people caught in between are casualties in this.
A pastoral candidate studying in Moscow’s orbit to be a pastor in CREC was explicitly told his affinity for Ogden was intolerable. This was after he reportedly disclosed this prior to working with them and being assured it was no issue.
Another irony is the disconnect between Doug Wilson’s projected persona and the leadership of his local church. I have been told by multiple sources that Moscow contains many Christian Nationalists. After all, most of Wilson’s staffers did not sign the Antioch Declaration. But Wilson is reportedly a grandfatherly elder to his local church, as opposed to the increasingly belligerent and petty public image.
Wilson, weighing in on the topic, writes:
It was not enough for the Narnians to be “against Miraz.” It was not enough for them to see him as the “real threat.” The proposed coalition against Miraz had three components—Caspian and those with him, Nikabrik and those with him, and then the hags, werewolves, and ogres that Nikabrik wanted to recruit. Caspian could fight alongside Nikabrik with a clean conscience, and would love to, but not alongside those that Nikabrik wanted to bring along. Let the reader understand.
In short, a red-pilled resurgence is not going to get us out of here . . . as we can now plainly see. We need reformation and revival. We always did, and we still do.
Jolly Brawler offers an alternative reference:
In case anyone needs help with this taxonomy:
Ogden = NikabrikHoldens Webbon = Hags and Witches
Christ hating Jews, Mormons, Atheists, and Heretics who can help Doug get a bigger platform: True Narnians
Doug Wilson’s willingness to give ultimatums to allies while partnering with pagans, heretics, and other transactional figures is far more akin to the Narnian reference.
Doug Wilson has put in a lot of work. Oftentimes it is the hard-working man who sells out in order to realize the fruits of his labor, but at what cost?

That last paragraph was gold, Jerry, gold. I think this is exactly what Doug is doing. He finally wants some official affirmation.
Kinism is absolutely moral, godly, and Christian. Kinism simply means loving, caring about, being loyal to, and defending your own family (kin). Your race is your extended family, your kin. God wants you to be loyal to your own race. It is your Christian DUTY to be loyal to your own race.
When the traitorous lying false teachers such as Doug Wilson and Joe Carter claim that “kinism is bad” and “kinism is a sin” and “kinism is un-christian”, what these traitors are REALLY saying is that “loving your OWN FAMILY is bad” and “loving your OWN FAMILY is a sin” and “loving your OWN FAMILY is un-christian.”
Does that sound like something Jesus Christ would say? Of course NOT!
Jesus Christ WANTS us to love our own race and our own people!
The Bible says that those who don’t care about their own are worse than unbelievers.
Any “Christian” leader/influencer who claims that kinism is bad is LYING.
These anti-white liars are paid by the Jews to manipulate, gaslight, and deceive white Christians into hating their own race.
Notice how the traitorous pastors (Doug Wilson etc) who claim that kinism is bad when white people do it, NEVER claim that kinism is bad when Jewish people do it.
The traitors such as Joel Berry who call Pro-White people “the woke right”, NEVER claim that Jews are “woke” for being pro-Jewish.
The traitorous false teachers are totally fine with Jewish people being pro-Jewish, but the moment a white person shows any racial loyalty to the white race, the traitors immediately start shrieking “kinism is un-christian” and “kinism is a sin”.
This double standard is because the traitorous “Christian” leaders and influencers are PAID by the Jews to gaslight white Christians into not having any racial loyalty, because if white people have no racial loyalty to each other, that makes it much easier for the Jews to divide and conquer and maintain Jewish supremacy over white people.
The next time some charlatan such as Doug Wilson screeches “kinism is a sin”, ask him if kinism a sin when the Jews do it.
Doug Wilson, like all of the “Christian” leaders who shill for the Jews, is an evil and wicked liar and a false teacher.
