G3 Ministries took an Agile approach to public relations this past week, featuring incremental updates towards an inevitable outcome, one that could have been resolved by August 18. But the inevitable has finally come. After weeks of mounting pressure, G3 Ministries has finally canceled its 2027 conference.
The conference was to be hosted at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, where all four of its elders were involved in an attempt to defrock Tom Buck, a former member of the G3 board. These elders resigned in disgrace. It was obvious that it was not going to happen a week ago, yet G3 Ministries cannot even competently shudder its operations.
The G3 conferences used to garner big name speakers like Voddie Baucham, John MacArthur, Paul Washer, and Steve Lawson, and as many as 8000 would show up to hear these men. The writing has been on the wall since 2023, but the realization has happened in 2026.
