A year after his ousting of Jeremy Boreing as the CEO of The Daily Wire, he returns to the podcast space to launch his own show. Going solo, Jeremy Boreing is weighing in on the podcast wars by entering an oversaturated market with a new podcast of his own. Boreing’s “The Jeremy Boreing Show” premieres on March 24 without The Daily Wire to boost or buy views.
Perhaps reminiscent of liberal Evangelical personalities, Boreing’s attitude in podcasting is rejecting “politics of anger and despair.” Boreing’s announcement was welcomed by the Kosher Right as another ally in their space.
This comes after Jeremy Boreing’s pet project, “The Pendragon Cycle” debuted on DailyWire+ to little fanfare. Although, there is nothing negative about the show being said, little is being said at all about the series. The only YouTuber I follow who discussed it was Jon Del Arroz, but it seems like major players like Nerdrotic or Critical Drinker, who have been historically kind to Daily Wire projects, focused instead on HBO’s A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms. Pop culture buzz appeared to only have room for one fantasy series, and it was not Boreing’s epic. Boreing’s podcast might signal that a season 2 of The Daily Wire’s boondoggle of a series is not being renewed.
During his time at Daily Wire, Boreing was the “god-king” of private label gimmicks. Now, on his own, it will be interesting to see if he resumes this practice, even without the over-the-top production value that the Daily Wire had.
Jeremy Boreing’s tenure at the Daily Wire helped grow and, being generous, nearly ruin a company. But when all else fails, start a podcast. Although not calling it “The Boreing Show” was a poor marketing decision.
