The race for Southern Baptist President continues to heat up as now David Allen has entered the race. David Allen was the orthodox professor purged by Adam Greenway during his mismanagement back in 2022. Allen went public against Adam Greenway when terminated, and his termination was likely a contributing factor to Greenway’s eventual downfall. David Allen is the Distinguished Professor of Practical Theology and Dean of the Adrian Rogers Center for Biblical Preaching at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.
David Allen represents another option for orthodox Southern Baptists, alongside Jared Moore.Â

Both Jared Moore and Credo Alliance welcomed David Allen into the race. This is going to be an interesting race as the four candidates so far represent varying factions of the Southern Baptist Convention.
